The seatpost: everything you need to know with Mammoth
The seat post, both the dropper post and the conventional post, is a much more important element of the bicycle than it may seem. This piece joins the saddle to the frame, allowing you to adjust the height of the bicycle saddle, as well as the inclination of the saddle and the distance between the saddle and the handlebars. These adjustments, along with the rest of its characteristics, can greatly affect any bike outing or cycling competition.
This component must be compatible with the measurements (normally the diameter) of the seat tube into which it is inserted. In some cases there are adapters or reducers that allow the use of seatposts on frames with different measurements, but it is best that they are fully compatible, especially in the most competitive and demanding modalities. An example is the Merida D34.9-30.9 seatpost adapter.
